GEA Advocacy
Site level advocacy usually centers around peer-to-peer issues; principal/evaluation disagreements; and schedule/course conflicts. These issues are best handled at the individual site, so reach out to your site representative first. They will help you determine the level of assistance you need. You should also complete this Advocacy Intake form to inform the GEA of your concerns.
AEA Advocacy
AEA members are entitled to work-related legal advice. If you are facing discipline, or if your district is not meeting the conditions in your contract, your local association, with help from AEA experts, is ready to help. Start by contacting one of your local leaders or the OC for your region.

Know your Rights
Become familiar with the GPS Memorandum of Understanding--GEA negotiates this document which codifies our working conditions every year. Know your rights and let us know what we need to fight for this year.
